NEW OFFICE: Gustave White Soutby’s International Realty has opened a new brokerage office at 182 Butler Ave., Providence. The real estate company specializes in unique, historic and luxury properties. The new location is in addition to the other offices in Newport and Westerly.

HOMEBUYING SEMINAR: The Washington Trust Company and Rhode Island Housing will host a free seminar, “First-Time Homebuying Made Easy,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at the Bank’s Sweet Meadows Office, 20 Point Judith Rd., Narragansett.

The seminar will explore all aspects of the home purchasing process, including what to expect when buying a home, downpayment and closing-cost options, the criteria lenders use to examine applicants, and program qualifications.

Speakers will include a Rhode Island Housing representative, a Consumer Credit Counseling Service representative, and Gina R. Mead, vice president and mortgage loan officer from Washington Trust.
