NEW OFFICERS: The Rhode Island Association of Realtors installed its 2009 slate of officers. Paul Leys of Newport from Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty in Newport was named president of the statewide association.
Licensed since 1988 and co-owner of Gustave White since 2000, Leys holds certified residential broker, certified residential specialist, and graduate Realtor institute designations and is an appraiser and licensed auctioneer. He served as the 2006 treasurer of the association and is also a past president of the Newport County Board of Realtors. Leys was chosen as Newport’s Realtor of the year in 1999.
Other 2009 officers installed were: president elect Karl Martone, RE/MAX Properties; vice president, Michael Saccoccio, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage; treasurer, Stephen Antoni, RE/MAX Professionals; secretary, Victoria Doran, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage; and immediate past president, Rob Scaralia, RE/MAX 1st Choice.
AGENTS OF THE MONTH: James DelBonis of Scituate was named sales agent and Kristin Coletti of East Greenwich was named listing agent for the month of October at Bruce Allen Realtors, Cranston.
NEW VICE PRESIDENT: James Manson of Newport has joined William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance as vice president of commercial operations in the firm’s Newport office.
He has 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
