R.I. Realtor buys Cape, islands firm
01:00 AM EDT on Sunday, June 28, 2009
CHARLESTOWN — Randall Realtors GMAC Real Estate has acquired Kinlin Grover GMAC Real Estate, serving Cape Cod and the islands. The combined company will be one of the largest real estate brokerage firms in New England with 18 offices, more than 400 sales associates and employees, and more than $700 million in sales in 2008. They will continue to operate under their current names.
Kinlin Grover’s 11 offices are in Barnstable, Brewster, Chatham, Falmouth, Harwich Port, Orleans, Osterville, Sandwich, South Yarmouth, Wellfleet and Yarmouth Port. Randall Realtors has offices in Charlestown, North Kingstown, Wakefield, Watch Hill and Westerly, and in Mystic and Waterford, Connecticut.
Doug Randall, cheif executive officer of Randall Realtors, said, “For our customers, it means increased exposure of their homes for sale on a regional and national level, additional services, access to more properties and greater marketing support.
“This is truly a situation which brings together two highly regarded companies from separate, yet complementary markets. We plan to keep all of the offices and are looking to grow by adding additional sales associates.”
Bringing the two companies together has substantial benefits for the company’s sales associates as well, according to Randall. “By working for one company in distinct, noncompeting markets, our sales associates will benefit from comprehensive training and educational materials and enhanced purchasing power through combined ads, marketing programs, referrals and other media resources. Our sales associates are now part of one of the largest real estate brokerage firms in New England.”
