Interstate Highways

Overnight restriction

Providence: Route 195 eastbound, between the merge of Iway (Route 195 and old Route 195) and the Washington Bridge, right lane closed, Sunday-Thursday nights, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Providence: Route 195 westbound on the Washington Bridge, lanes closed for bridge work, Sunday-Thursday nights, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Warwick: Route 295 southbound, between Exits 2 (Bald Hill Road/Route 2) and 1 (Route 113), lane closed Sunday-Thursday nights, 9 p.m.-6 a.m.

Continuing restriction

Pawtucket: Route 95 between Exits 27 (George Street) and 28 (School Street) posted for use only by vehicles of less than 18 tons. Detours required for heavier vehicles.

Nearby construction

Massachusetts: Route 295 northbound and southbound between the Rhode Island State Line and Route 95 is being resurfaced. Motorists should be prepared for lane closures in this area.

Metropolitan Providence

Weekday restriction

East Providence: Valley Street, between Warren Avenue and North Brow Street, closed to through traffic Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Continuing restriction

East Providence: North Broadway bridges at Roger Williams Avenue (over Ten Mile River), bridges posted at 7 tons. Heavier vehicles required to use detour.

Providence: Brown Street, between Angell Street and Waterman Street, closed to through traffic May 26 to Sept. 1 for construction, according to the City of Providence.

Providence: Westminster Street, between Exchange Street and Dorrance Street, lane closed weekdays 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through October for building construction.

West Bay

Weekday restriction

Cranston: Route 37 between Route 95 and Pontiac Avenue, right lane closed for bridge inspection, (Tuesday and Wednesday-westbound) (Thursday and Friday-eastbound) 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cranston: Park Avenue (Route 12) between Old Park Avenue and Dyer Avenue, lane closed for bridge inspection, Monday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Coventry: Road paving with lane closures following town sewer construction, Sandy Bottom Road, Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Paving will continue to Tiogue Avenue

Warwick: Warwick Avenue, between Partition Street and Post Road, lanes closed for paving and striping, Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Continuing restriction

East Greenwich-North Kingstown: Frenchtown Road (Route 402) over Route 4, bridge closed for repairs, detour in place.

South County

Weekend and weekday restriction

Narragansett: Pt. Judith Road (Route 108) between Burnside Avenue and Sea Lea Drive, cold planing and temporary striping at gutters only Saturday and Monday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Weekday restriction

Jamestown: Hamilton Avenue, lane closed for paving and striping, Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Continuing Restriction

Exeter: Austin Farm Road. over Route 95, one lane of alternating traffic for rural bridge repair.

Northern R.I. and Blackstone Valley

Weekend and weekday restriction

Pawtucket: Smithfield Avenue (Route 126) between Power Road and Mineral Spring Avenue, cold planing and temporary striping at gutters only Saturday and Monday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; paving and temporary striping, Friday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Overnight restriction

North Smithfield: Route 146, between the Route 146A (Eddie Dowling Highway) split and the Massachusetts state line, left lane closed either northbound or southbound for guardrail installation, Sunday-Thursday nights, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Weekday restriction

Central Falls/Pawtucket: Cross Street/Central Avenue over the Blackstone River, lane closed for bridge inspection, Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

North Smithfield: Route 146 northbound at the Great Road overpass, lane closed Monday-Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for construction.

Pawtucket: Main Street Bridge over the Blackstone River, lane closed for bridge inspection, (Thursday-westbound) (Friday-eastbound), 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Woonsocket: Route 122 on the Court Street Bridge (northbound and southbound), lane closed for bridge inspection, Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Continuing restrictions

North Smithfield: School Street bridge over Route 146 closed to traffic, detour in place.

North Smithfield: Route 146 Southbound under Great Road., one lane closed for bridge rehabilitation.

East Bay

Weekday restriction

Newport/Jamestown: Pell-Newport Bridge (Route138) eastbound and westbound between Newport and Jamestown, lane closed weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for RITBA deck repair.

Continuing restriction

Portsmouth-Tiverton: Sakonnet Bridge (Route 24) posted for use by vehicles under 18 tons. Heavier vehicles must use alternate routes. The bridge is safe for passenger vehicles.
