Auto Repairs for Smart Customers, a class on evaluating your auto mechanic and shop, will be held Thursday, July 31, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Riverside Branch Library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave. Learn how to get a fair price for legitimate car repairs. Discover specific questions to ask, how to get a valid second opinion, examine your own tires, and get the most out of your warranty.

The presenter, James Thomson, is a teacher of automotive technology at the East Providence Area Career and Technical Center. He is an ASE certified master mechanic and has 30 years experience in the automotive field. This program is free and open to all. For information, call (401) 433-4877.
