The P-Bruins lose to the Pirates in overtime; the AHL playoff series is tied at 2-2

PORTLAND, Maine –– Portland’s Ryan Dingle scored at 6:30 of overtime to give the Pirates a 3-2 victory over the Providence Bruins yesterday in the Atlantic Division finals at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
The best-of-seven series is now tied, 2-2. Game Five will be at 7:05 p.m. tomorrow, also in Portland.
The Pirates took a 1-0 lead at the 10:50 mark of the opening period while on the power play. Bobby Ryan tallied his fourth goal of the playoffs, with Andrew Ebbett and Drew Miller recording the assists.
Portland made it 2-0 at the 11:42 mark when Darryl Bootland, capitalizing a 2-on-1 opportunity, netted his first goal of the postseason. Miller and Andy Schneider picked up the assists.
Providence got on the scoreboard at 19:12 of the period while on the power play. The puck took a bounce behind the net to Zach Hamill, who was stationed along the left goal post. With Pirates netminder Jean-Sebastien Aubin on the opposite side of the net, Hamill scored his first goal of the playoffs, unassisted.
In the second period, the P-Bruins tied the game at 2-2 at the 14:17 mark. Petteri Nokelainen sent the puck into the zone for T.J. Trevelyan, who worked it out of the corner, skated into the slot and put a shot on net. Aubin made the save, but Trevelyan took the rebound and shot it into the net for his fourth goal of the postseason.
Tuukka Rask stopped 21 of 24 shots for the P-Bruins while Aubin made 33 saves for the Pirates. The P-Bruins went 1-for-3 on the power play and were 2-for-3 on the penalty kill. Pirates 3 P-Bruins 2
