Brown, Yankees still on WSKO
01:00 AM EDT on Tuesday, March 18, 2008
The demise of the all-Rhode Island sports-talk radio on WSKO, doesn’t mean that fans of Brown University and the New York Yankees will be left in the lurch.
While the programming has changed, the station — or at least a Citadel Broadcasting station — will still carry the play-by-play accounts of the two teams. Thus, fans can still tune in to 790-AM tonight and hear the Brown-Ohio University basketball game in the CBI. Brown’s contract with the station runs through 2009, so the football and hoop broadcasts will continue at least for another year.
The station has also been the local broadcast outlet of the Yankees, and that will continue on the AM station in ’08.
