FOXBORO -- According to his teammates, Tom Brady is back at Gillette Stadium rehabbing his surgically repaired knee, and everyone is glad to see him.

Kevin Faulk said “it’s always good to see a teammate” when asked about Brady, and said that he had spoken with the quarterback every other week since his injury in the season opener; most of their conversations are spent just catching up.

In his weekly radio appearance on Boston’s WAAF, Matt Light said Brady was at Gillette doing everything he needs to do at this point in his rehab.

“It’s good to see him, good to have him back in there,” Light said.

The left tackle, who dealt with a broken leg in the 2005 season, said he knows first-hand what Brady is going through.

“Hey, look: I was there and it’s tough, it really is,” he said. “Whenever you’re injured, it’s no fun to be around that atmosphere, but you do it and you come back. It’s good for the guys, good to see him.

The Boston Globe, citing NFL sources, reported yesterday that Brady did indeed contract a staph infection in his left knee after surgery to repair his torn ACL on Oct. 6, and that the patella tendon graft was not compromised by the infection. Brady is still taking antibiotics, the Globe reported.
