FOXBORO -- After throwing two interceptions, Bills quarterback Trent Edwards also tossed a few compliments in the direction of the New England defense.

"They play hard, they play fast, and they show a lot of different looks," said Edwards, who was sacked twice while completing 13 of 23 passes for just 120 yards as Buffalo lost to the Patriots for the 10th consecutive time, 20-10, Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.

"It's confusing," Edwards said, "to know what their coverages are, what their fronts are. They do a great job of disguising that. They confused us a little bit here and there."

Sunday's loss was the third in a row for the Bills, who fell to 5-4 after starting the season 5-1 and, even worse, are 0-3 against AFC East rivals.

"It's tough to move the ball when you shoot yourself in the foot," Edwards said. "That's what's been happening lately."

Bills coach Dick Jauron, who's now 0-5 against New England since becoming head coach in Buffalo in 2006, gave credit to the Patriots and their coach, Bill Belichick.

"They are a very, very talented team," Jauron said. "They are a well-coached team. They did a terrific job. Clearly, they beat us. They perform well, year in and year out."
