Journal Sports Writer

Caught on the fly, a hastily arranged 10 irrelevant questions with Troy Brown. Think he's fast on the field? Check out how fast he can be when he wants to get out of the locker room after a game and someone wants to ask ridiculous questions about nothing in particular.

Q: When did you realize you could play in the NFL?

A: When I started returning kicks my junior season at Marshall.

Q: What happened when you returned kicks?

A: I started taking them to the house. Pretty much every week.

Q: Was there a time when you got to the NFL and said, "Wow, these guys are pretty big?"

A: It didn't take me long to see these guys are big and fast. And they hit hard.

Q: What's the knack to taking a hit?

A: Time in the weight room.

Q: Who's the quickest player you've seen?

A: Antwaan Randle-El or Dante Hall.

Q: Who's your favorite boxer?

A: Muhammad Ali.

Q: Who are you more like, Muhammad Ali or Roy Jones Jr.?

A: I'm a mixture.

Q: What CD have you been listening to in your car?

A: I've been listening to the radio the past few days. I have some CDs in there but I've been on the radio.

Q: Favorite postgame meal?

A: Steak and lobster.

Q: Did you do any Christmas shopping for the boys?

A: I did. The clothes came from us. The toys came from Santa.

Q: First ride-on toy you had as a kid?

A: Green Machine. I only had that thing for three months. I rode that thing to death. Wasn't long before there were holes in the wheels.
