Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, rumored to have had complications after surgery last week, did indeed have surgery and is recovering, according to the team.

The Patriots offered no further details about Weis, a Cumberland resident, who has been the Pats' offensive coordinator for two years after serving in the same capacity for the Jets.

There was no word whether his surgery would affect his ability to be with the team at training camp next month.
