Let grand jury judge

In her Nov. 13 letter "Indict W. Warwick fire officials," Monique Chartier brings up many good points that William Harsch brought to light during his campaign for attorney general.
Many residents of Rhode Island want to see the West Warwick fire officials indicted. Atty. Gen. Patrick Lynch should listen to the people. It is not his job to indict, but a grand jury's. Why does Mr. Lynch refuse to put the evidence in front of a grand jury and let the people decide whether or not to indict the fire officials?
Since when does "laziness" not imply negligence, and when does negligence become gross? When one person dies? When 100 people die?
Time has long passed for the attorney general to choose whether or not he wants to be a servant of the people or a servant of his own political ambitions and allies.
