Balanced representation for Rhode Island

01:00 AM EST on Monday, November 22, 2004

You would think Rhode Islanders would cushion themselves and have at least one Republican member of Congress in Washington, just in case there is a Republican administration! (Sen. Lincoln Chafee doesn't count.)

We now will have eight years of a Republican administration, and Rhode Island is worrying it will be on the short end of federal funding.

Wake up, voters! Being born, living, and dying Democratic does not produce good government. There has to be some balance, to allow a flow of ideas.
