Bravo to Ted Koppel and ABC's Nightline for humanizing the situation in Iraq by devoting an entire broadcast to reading the names of 500 servicemen and -women who have died in Iraq. We dimiss the importance of those who serve by saying that such acts are "contrary to the public interest" or, worse yet, a stunt for television's May sweeps.
Isn't it time for America to transfer power to the United Nations? Our arrogance continues to paint bigger targets on American backs.
