Robert Gordon: Rise to anonymity
01:00 AM EDT on Wednesday, July 1, 2009
I’m puzzled by his latest media blitz in which philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein tells me, several times a week, that I must wonder what his family looks like.
I have never wondered what Mr. Feinstein’s family looks like, and if by chance anyone else did, they don’t have to wonder anymore. I don’t know what this self-serving advertising is costing Mr. Feinstein but it seems as if a better use for that money might be an anonymous donation to a worthwhile charity.
Give it the treat of wondering who its benefactor is and distract it from wondering what the Feinstein family looks like.
