Philip Gingerella: Protesters have the answer
01:00 AM EDT on Monday, July 6, 2009
In the June 11 article, “Delivering a message: Protesters rally against state spending and taxes — with the blessing of the governor,” Rep. Peter Martin is quoted as saying: “Do they have any answers? If they have answers, do they have any methods to implement them?”
We do have the answers.
Here are the answers, Mr. Martin: Don’t raise taxes. Cut every program.
And the voters can do something, too: Stop electing condescending, arrogant politicians.
We are here, Mr. Martin, and we are not going away. More importantly, for a change, we are going to hold you and the rest of your cronies accountable. Frankly, that’s something that is long overdue.
PHILIP GINGERELLA
