Gang green
01:00 AM EDT on Sunday, May 18, 2008
Your story “Gangs of Providence” (news, Feb. 10) unintentionally paying tribute to the gangs in our cities, complete with a history of each of them, will cause half the teens in the state to dream of becoming a Crip, a Blood or one of the Boys. They can’t wait to be “jumped in.” The article even explained “tagging.”
What purpose did it serve? The publicity those gangs were given can only add to the further downfall of our society.
