Felicia Nimue Ackerman: After the Visitor Spoke
01:00 AM EST on Wednesday, February 13, 2008

After the visitor spoke at my high school
about climate change, I could not
stop crying.
“Do you want to talk about it?” a counselor
asked.
I shook my head.
I didn’t want her in my life.
Besides, she would never believe
I was crying because Matt twirled Steffie’s
hair during the lecture
And I heard him ask her to the prom.
