ARTHUR F. WRIGHT JR. - East Greenwich

ARTHUR F. WRIGHT JR., 77, of Greenwich Bay Manor, and formerly of Pricewood Drive, a retired bank officer, died Sunday at Greenwich Bay Manor.

He was the husband of the late Rhoda D. (Anderson) Wright. Born in Newport, a son of the late Arthur F. and Marion L. (Teaze) Wright, he had lived in Warwick before moving to East Greenwich in 1968.

He was a graduate of Rogers High School, in Newport, and the School of Banking at Williams College, in Williamstown, Mass.

Mr. Wright had worked at the former Rhode Island Hospital Trust National Bank for 31 years, until retiring in 1980 as an assistant vice president of operations. He also had been an instructor for the American Bankers Association and the Katharine Gibbs School.

In his retirement, he had been a consultant for the United Way and the tax department of Hospital Trust.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Mr. Wright was a former member of the American Bankers Association. He was a former member and past president of Junior Achievement.

He enjoyed playing poker and bridge.

He leaves four daughters, Deborah L. Maguire of South Kingstown, Sandra L. Cabral of Coventry, Lori J. Gebler of Warwick and Cheryl A. Lynch of West Greenwich; and two grandchildren, Kristina L. Cabral of Coventry and Tyler J. Lynch of West Greenwich.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
