MATTHEW RICHARD IANNOTTI - Cranston

05/13/2003

MATTHEW RICHARD IANNOTTI, 16, of Colonial Avenue, a high-school student, died Friday at Hasbro Children's Hospital, in Providence.

Born in Providence, a son of Vincent J. and Sheila M. (Fitzgerald) Iannotti of Cranston, Matthew was a lifelong Cranston resident. A 2002 graduate of Park View Middle School, he was presently studying at Cranston High School East.

Matthew played guitar, and was a developing young songwriter, his parents say.

He was a passionate lover of music, particularly the Beatles and the Ramones. He also was a comic-book collector, a video-game enthusiast, a horror-film aficionado, and a lifelong student of comedy and humor.

Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Michael V. Iannotti of Cranston; a sister, Mindi M. Iannotti of Warwick; and his stepfather, Scott Duhamel, his stepmother, JoAnn Ruhle, and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Hilda Fitzgerald, all of Cranston.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
