LAURENT R. RAINVILLE - Woonsocket

LAURENT R. RAINVILLE, 72, of 58 Williams St., a retired maintenance worker, died yesterday at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

He was the husband of the late Shirley (LaFlamme) Rainville. Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Romeo and Marie (Cormier) Rainville, he had lived in Woonsocket most of his life.

Mr. Rainville worked in the maintenance department for Woonsocket Housing Authority for 14 years before retiring in 1998.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Cercle Laurier Club.

He leaves four sons, Alan M. Rainville of Blackstone, Mass., Dennis W. Rainville of Cumberland, Robert A. Rainville of Woonsocket and Stephen L. Rainville of Gilbert, Ariz.; two sisters, Giselle Croteau and Theresa Naulty, both of Woonsocket; his companion, Theresa Cassidy of Woonsocket; and four grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Muriel Muratori.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from Menard's Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Avenue. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville.
