How can you be considered mature and responsible if you don’t fulfill your duty to your country? Explain that. You can’t! Every American citizen has a chance to vote, starting at the age of 18. We all know that every 18-year-old feels since they are grown adults, they can decide for themselves what they are going to do. So why don’t they vote?
There are many reasons why we should vote. The most important one is that we are lucky to be able to vote. Unlike many countries, our nation is a democracy. The people choose who governs this country. Places like North Korea aren’t able to elect presidents or governors. Instead, they have a despot ruler. Other countries are run by dictators or have communism, but not us! People eligible to vote should use this unique benefit of our country to their advantage!
Every 18 year old wants to be treated as a respected citizen of the U.S.A. You want to have your thoughts and ideas heard. Voting can do that for you! When you vote, you are telling the entire country how you feel and what your opinion is. Every election, the people of our great nation voice their opinion. Be part of it — let your voice be heard!
People who vote want the best for our country and its citizens. You should too. Don’t let the wrong person come into office just because you don’t feel like voting! You have to vote – there’s no question about it! I am not going to let our country be led off course because of your irresponsible actions! You should vote because you should care about our nation, its leaders and its people!
You have a new opportunity — now use it correctly. Make a difference in your community and our proud nation. You know it’s right — you know it’s your responsibility! Now go out there and vote, vote, vote! |
