This event is for the birds, and those who enjoy them. Saturday is International Migratory Bird Day, which will be celebrated from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, off Route 1 in South Kingstown. The event, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Fish and Wildlife, will involve guided walks, a presentation of raptor birds and some crafts activities. Participation is free.
