PROVIDENCE — Emmy-award winning filmmaker Allison Argo will screen her latest film, Crash— a Tale of Two Species, at her alma mater, the Wheeler School, tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the school’s Wheeler Hall.
Crash, which tells the intertwined ecological story of the horseshoe crab and the red knot, a migratory shorebird, premiered yesterday on the PBS series Nature. Argo, who has won six Emmy awards for previous documentaries, including Chimpanzees: an Unnatural History and The Urban Elephant, is the narrator, producer, and writer of Crash.
Argo graduated from Wheeler in 1971. In addition to the free screening tomorrow night, she will be speaking to students throughout the day Wednesday.
