PROVIDENCE — A 20-year-old man was arrested by the police after the car he was driving spun out of control on Narragansett Avenue yesterday afternoon.
The car mounted the sidewalk, hit a building and spun 180 degrees before landing on a parked car. A 6-year-old boy sitting in the front seat of the driver’s car was injured in the accident, apparently breaking his leg, according to the police.
Saah McCabe was charged with driving to endanger, resulting in personal injury; operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle; failure to maintain control; and failure to use a safety belt or a child restraint.
McCabe was being held overnight and will be arraigned this morning.
The boy, whose name was not released, was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, police Lt. Luis San Lucas said.
