01:00 AM EST on Sunday, November 8, 2009
PROVIDENCE — Three Massachusetts men were stabbed early Saturday during a disturbance on Hospital Street, police reports on the incident said. Two were injured badly enough to be hospitalized.
Karl Bijoux, 25, of Malden, and Rudy Christmas, 28, of Randolph, were both hospitalized. Fred Jeangilles, 29, also of Randolph, who was stabbed in the lower back, was treated at the scene.
The police said that they found Jeangilles at 2:24 a.m. at the intersection of Ship and Eddy streets, and that they found the other two victims at the hospital emergency room.
The victims told the police that the stabbings happened during a large disturbance at 44 Hospital St. but were unable to provide details about who stabbed them or why the disturbance took place. The police said, however, that they have found witnesses to the attacks.
Hospital officials told the police that none of the injuries seemed life-threatening.
