PFLAG meeting: James Robinson, executive director of Youth Pride, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), south/central Rhode Island chapter, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8 at the Westminster Unitarian Church, 119 Kenyon Ave., East Greenwich. AIDS fundraiser: The first Bar AIDS Rhode Island will take place Thursday at three establishments that will donate 25 percent of their sales to AIDS Project RI, a division of Family Service of RI.

Participating bars and clubs are:

MiraBar, 35 Richmond St., and Muldowneys Pub, 121 Empire St., both in Providence, and Scotty’s Big Dawg’s Pub, 823 West Main Road, Number 10, Middletown.

AIDS fundraiser: Imperial Court of Rhode Island presents Kamikaze Drag!, a fundraiser for AIDS Care Ocean State, on Sunday, Sept. 7, at Club Gallery, 150 Point St., Providence.

The event is hosted by Lady Sarah Beyers. Emcee is Miss Kitty Litter.

Donation at the door is $10.

Jobs open: Southeast Asian Queers United for Empowerment and Leadership –– seaQuel –– is seeking young people interested in working with both the Southeast Asian and GLBTQQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer and Questioning) communities to apply for two Organizing Circle representative positions.

seaQuel is a program of the Providence Youth Student Movement (PrYSM), an organization dedicated to confronting and ending violence in the street and the state, as well as interpersonal violence, specifically affecting the Southeast Asian community in Rhode Island. The organization continues to grow in numbers and strength, led by its core program, the Organizing Circle. In the core program, Southeast Asian youth are mentored and trained to become critical thinkers, leaders and social change activists.

Out in the Park: Southeast Asian Queers United for Empowerment and Leadership –– seaQuel –– invites Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender ,Queer, Questioning, Intersexed, Brothers, Sisters, Friends and Families to join us for Out In The Park Day at Six Flags New England.

This year, Out in the Park events features Kevin Avalane, Adam Joseph and Jason Walker at the Loud and Proud Concert at Six Flags.

Tickets are $25 if purchased before Saturday, Aug. 30.
