Celebration: In celebration of the recent landmark decision in Connecticut allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry, the Marriage Equality Rhode Island Education Fund (MERIEF) will host the Rhode Island premiere of the documentary, Saving Marriage, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 at the Rhode Island School of Design Auditorium, 17Canal St.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.

COLAGE: COLAGE of Rhode Island will hold a ‘Turkey Time Bash’ from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at Youth Pride, 171 Chestnut St., Providence.

COLAGE is a national movement of children, youth and adults with one or more lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or queer (LGBTQ) parents. We build community and work toward social justice through youth empowerment, leadership development, education and advocacy. Visit www.colage.org.

seaQuel potluck: seaQuel, a program of the Providence Youth Student Movement (PrYSM), will hold its Thanksgiving potluck dinner on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Youth Pride, 171 Chestnut St.

Exhibit, performances: URI Feinstein Providence Campus Gallery, 80 Washington St , and Traveling Theatre Company, are currently presenting ‘POSITIVELY AWARE: (Mis)perceptions of living with HIV/AIDS’, an exhibit and performance installation that includes creative writing and artwork by professional and community artists and local youths.

The exhibit will continue through Friday, Dec. 26.

On Gallery Night, Thursday, Nov. 20, from 5 to 9 p.m., creative writing from the Mathewson Street United Methodist Church ARTREACH program will be presented, as well as original dramatic performances by area students.

SIGH/OMELAS, a play about a child born with HIV, written and performed by Steve Kidd, will be presented to middle and high school groups by reservation only at 10 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 20 and 21.

An open performance (pay what you can) will be held on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

This project is a collaboration of URI Providence Campus Urban Arts and Culture Program and The Traveling Theatre Company, in cooperation with (PASA) Providence After School Alliance, AIDS Project RI/Family Services, AFIA/Family Service, Mathewson Street United Methodist Church ARTREACH and AIDS Quilt RI, Plan USA and the Met School.

Gallery hours are Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sundays and holidays.

Bingo: Disney Gay Bingo will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20 at Riviera Bingo Palace, 1612 Elmwood Ave., Cranston. Doors open at 6 p.m. Festivities begin at 7.

Red Ribbon dinner: In celebration of World AIDS Day, AIDS Project Rhode Island will hold its annual Red Ribbon Community Service Awards Dinner at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4 at the RI Convention Center,

This event is hosted by past Community Partner Award recipient, Rep. Frank Ferri.
