Former President Bill Clinton to visit Bryant tomorrow
01:00 AM EST on Wednesday, February 27, 2008
Former President Bill Clinton is coming to Rhode Island tomorrow to campaign for his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton.
Clinton will be hosting a rally at the Chace Athletic Center at Bryant University, in Smithfield. Doors open at 2:15 p.m. The “Solutions for America” event is expected to begin at 3:15. The rally is free and open to the public; attendees are encouraged to carpool because of limited parking.
Senator Clinton visited the state Sunday for a morning fundraiser and an afternoon rally at Rhode Island College.
Republican candidates John McCain and Mike Huckabee have also made campaign stops here this month. Sen. Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle, made a campaign stop in the state last week but Obama himself has not yet scheduled a visit before the primary.
