Westerly man charged with child molestation

SOUTH KINGSTOWN –– A Washington County grand jury Friday indicted Jesse Rathbun, 35, of Westerly, on a charge of first-degree child molestation, the attorney general’s office announced yesterday.
The indictment alleges that Rathbun sexually assaulted a child no older than 14 in Westerly on or about Jan. 12.
He is to be arraigned Monday in Superior Court, South Kingstown, on the felony charge.
