Bristol: The Bristol Veterans Council will have a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial Garden at the Burnside Building on Hope Street at 8:30 a.m. along with the playing of taps. A 9:45 a.m. interfaith service will be held at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Ave., followed by an 11 a.m. program at the Veterans Home featuring speaker Armand Pereira, an Iraq War veteran.

Burrillville: Ceremony at 11 a.m. at Veterans’ Park, The Bridgeway, Pascoag.

Cumberland: Veterans groups will conduct a memorial observance at the Cumberland Monastery Memorial grounds led by Town Council President Richard Schatz at 11 a.m. There will be music by the Cumberland High School band and presentations by American Legion Post 14 and Auxiliary units, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 22 and Cumberland Police Sgt. Douglas Ciullo.

East Greenwich: Wreath-laying ceremony at 10 a.m. prior to the parade stepping off at the intersection of Second Street and First Avenue, north on Main Street, to Town Hall for concluding ceremonies at about 11 a.m. There is no rain date.

East Providence: Armstrong-Gladding Post 69 will host a memorial service and wreath laying with taps at 9 a.m. at the gravesite of Walter Gladding in the Spring Vale Cemetery, 1125 Pawtucket Ave.

Exeter: Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 325 will host a memorial service at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery at 7 a.m. Armenian American veterans will gather for a memorial service at the Armenian American Veterans’ Monument at 10 a.m. in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery.

Fall River: A Veterans Day ceremony will be held onboard the Battleship Massachusetts at 11 a.m.

Newport: The United Veterans Council of Newport County and Conover-Leary VFW Post 406 will conduct a memorial ceremony in front of Newport City Hall at 11 a.m. The Newport Artillery Co., the Rogers High School Army Junior ROTC, Newport County veterans’ organizations, clergy, city and legislative officials will participate. Rear Adm. James Wisecup, president of the Naval War College, will deliver remarks.

North Kingstown: Parade starts at 10 a.m. at Wilson Park and will follow West Main Street to Brown Street and Boston Neck Road to the high school on Fairway Drive for a concluding ceremony at 11 a.m. In the case of rain, the wreath-laying ceremonies slated for Updike Park will still go forward at 11 a.m.

Pawtucket: Veterans Day ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park, Roosevelt Avenue and Exchange Street, at 11 a.m.

Peace Dale: Parade at 10 a.m. on Holly Road and proceeds to Main Street then onto Saugatucket Park on High Street with a ceremony at 11 a.m. In the event of rain, the parade will be canceled and the ceremony will take place in the South Kingstown High School auditorium. Portsmouth: American Legion Post 18 will host the annual Veterans Day ceremony indoors at Portsmouth Town Hall at 9 a.m.

Providence: La Salle Academy, 612 Academy Ave. in Providence, will present honorary diplomas at 11 a.m. to World War II veterans who were forced to leave school before graduation to serve in the Armed Forces. Recipients include students who left La Salle in good standing without graduating, served honorably and, upon returning from the war, never received a high school diploma. Scituate: Veterans Day parade hosted by Scituate Post 19 will step off at 10:30 a.m. from Institute Lane and Main Street and proceed to the Congregational Church at the Scituate Commons.

Swansea: Wreath placing and color guard ceremony at 10 a.m. at Town Hall, 81 Main St. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held at the American Legion Post 303, Ocean Grove Avenue.
