NARRAGANSETT — Four Pawtucket teenagers were arrested this weekend in connection with a robbery that left a 23-year-old man with a fractured skull, a broken nose and numerous cuts and abrasions, the police said.
A Connecticut resident was attacked Thursday at about 4:30 a.m. by at least two males and two females on Ocean Road near DeSano Drive.
Using their hands and feet as weapons, the attackers stole the man’s wallet and cell phone and then left, the police said. The victim walked to a relative’s house on Ocean Road and was later taken to South County Hospital.
Officers discovered the stolen credit card had been used three times in Narragansett, and they got a description of the suspects’ car — an older model Ford Mustang — and at least one of the suspects when they investigated a purchase at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Point Judith Road.
The police later stopped an older model Mustang on Point Judith Road after someone reported items were being thrown from the car. They arrested the driver, Nicole A. Spano, 18, of 289 Evergreen St., Pawtucket, after she was identified as the person who used the credit card at Dunkin’ Donuts and one of the people who assaulted and robbed the victim, the police said.
Spano was charged with second-degree robbery, simple assault, fraudulent use of a credit card over $100 and receiving stolen goods. She was released on $10,000 bail with surety, requiring 10 percent of the amount in cash or the full amount in property, after an appearance before a bail commissioner. She is due in District Court, Wakefield, on Aug. 20 for a felony screening, the police said.
Also arrested was Eden Rose, 18, of 21 William St., Pawtucket. Rose is charged with second-degree robbery and simple assault and was held on $30,000 bail with surety after an appearance in District Court. She also has a felony screening scheduled for Aug. 20, the police said.
The police also arrested two male juveniles from Pawtucket.
One, age 15, was arrested Sunday by Pawtucket police on a warrant for simple assault, second-degree robbery, fraudulent use of a credit card over $100 and receiving stolen goods. The other, age 14, turned himself in to Narragansett police and was charged with simple assault, robbery and receiving stolen goods.
Both juveniles were referred to Family Court and released to their parents, the police said.
