Police seek info on robbery suspects

PAWTUCKET –– The police are looking for information about the alleged assault and robbery of two Central Falls men Saturday morning.
Leonardo Cruz and Roger Alvarado were walking on Weeden Street at about 5:50 a.m. when they were beaten and robbed by at least three males, according to a police news release.
Cruz suffered a laceration to his right eye and several gold chains were stolen from him. He was taken to Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket for treatment.
Alvarado suffered what the police described as small lacerations to his face and he was robbed of his wallet and cell phone. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for treatment.
The police said neither man’s injuries were considered life threatening. Anyone with information is asked to call (401) 727-9100, ext. 737.
