NORTH PROVIDENCE — The police were investigating two house breaks last weekend that yielded thousands of dollars in jewelry and cash.
Kenneth Boocock, of the Windsor at Brentwood apartments at 630 Smithfield Rd., told the police Sunday that someone had broken into his apartment while he was away and stole a $14,000 gold diamond engagement ring, jewelry, coins, Nintendo and Xbox sets and games valued at more than $7,000. The police said it appears the thief entered the apartment through a rear window.
Also over the weekend, Jalialah Munir reported that someone had gone through her house at 8 Vireo St. and stole $3,402 in cash and a studio microphone valued at $300.
