Blackstone riverboat tours extended
01:00 AM EDT on Friday, August 29, 2008
CENTRAL FALLS — Public riverboat tours on the 49-passenger Blackstone Valley Explorer have been extended in Central Falls, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council has announced.
The tours run hourly on Sundays, at 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m., from the Central Falls Landing, at the corner of Broad Street and Madeira Avenue, near the Cumberland town line.
Scheduling logistics have delayed moving the boat to Woonsocket for tours of the Blackstone River, according to the council. Dates for the Thundermist Tour in Woonsocket will be announced at a later date.
For reservations, undated tour schedule and more information about the Blackstone Valley Explorer riverboat tours, contact the tourism council at (401) 724-2200 or visit the Web site at www.rivertourblackstone.com
