Bryant graduates to hear former President Bush

SMITHFIELD — Former President George H.W. Bush will be the keynote speaker at Bryant University’s undergraduate commencement ceremony Saturday.
Bush, the 41st president of the United States and vice president under Ronald Reagan, will also receive an honorary degree during the ceremony.
Three other people will receive honorary degrees. They are Fan Jianchuan, a Chinese entrepreneur and developer of his country’s largest private museum, Roxanne Spillet, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and John C. Warren, chairman and CEO of Washington Trust and Washington Trust Bancorp.
Fan and Spillet will receive their degrees during the undergraduate ceremony along with Bush.
Warren will receive his degree during the graduate school’s commencement Thursday. He will also deliver the keynote address.
