At this Glocester antiques shop the past isn’t so far away
01:00 AM EDT on Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Jere Henault, of Glocester, is reflected in a shaving cabinet from the early 1900s as he decides where on a large wall to hang it at The Old Post Office, an antiques shop at 1178 Putnam Pike (Route 44) in Chepachet. He runs the shop with co-owner Bob Brown. The shop has hard-to-find Depression glass, grandfather clocks, furniture, records, radios and just about anything antique. The primitive painting at left is a reproduction of a late 1800s oil. At top, antique Crackle Glass sits on a shelf.
