01:00 AM EST on Thursday, November 27, 2008
The classics come at a discount: 20 percent off. The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra is offering a sale on gift certificates for its 2008-2009 season.
Certificates that ranged from $25 to $100 now cost $20 to $80 through Dec. 18. And the organization is also offering two tickets to any Saturday concert for $100.
In addition, the Philharmonic is conducting its Holiday Bazaar, offering such things as jewelry, folk art and furniture, on Dec. 3, 5 to 9 p.m., at its headquarters, 667 Waterman Ave., East Providence. Certificates and tickets may be purchased there or by calling (401) 248-7000.
