First showing Saturday of Glocester history film

After three years in the making, Betty and Carlo Mencucci of Log Cabin Studios have completed their nearly two-hour-long movie, “West of the Seven Mile Line — A History of Glocester” Episode 1, and have scheduled two free public screenings under the auspices of the Glocester Heritage Society.
The first showing is at 7 p.m. Saturday at Ponaganset High School auditorium, 137 Anan Wade Rd., North Scituate; the second will be at 3 p.m. Nov. 22 at Glocester Town Hall.
DVDs of the film will be available for sale at the screenings and also from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21 at Peddlers’ Faire, 1181 Putnam Pike, Chepachet, as well as from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 3, 10 and 17 at Candlelight Shopping, Main Street, Chepachet.
