REHOBOTH — An armed intruder broke into a house at 6 Sassafras Rd. shortly before midnight on Saturday while a family of four were asleep, and fired shots inside the house and outside while fleeing, police Chief Stephen Enos said.
Enos said the two adults and two children were not injured. He would not say whether the intruder was a man or a woman or whether anything was taken. He said the local police and the Massachusetts State Police were investigating.
Enos asked that anyone “who may have information, or who may have seen or heard something, to please call us” at Rehoboth police headquarters. The number is (508) 252-3722.
