Health van schedule: The Southcoast Health Van will hold health screenings today from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Wal-Mart, New Harbor Mall, Fall River.
The van, which is wheelchair accessible, provides free education and screenings for cardiac disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer. Primary services offered on the van include health screenings, blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, vaccines, pregnancy testing, educational teen programs, medical physical referrals and health education. Tetanus, diphtheria (Td) and pneumococcal vaccine are also offered.

Long distance class reunion: The 2007 Durfee High Southern Reunion — for all classes and greater Fall River residents — will be held March 3 at the Spanish Wells Country Club, Bonita Springs, Fla. This will be the 32nd reunion and the first at the new location. Fliers will be mailed on Jan. 4.

Duo performs: As part of The Arts in the Village Concert Series, the Lewin-Muresanu Duo will perform Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Goff Memorial Hall, 124 Bay State Rd. The concert program includes sonatas by César Franck and American composer William Bolcom, as well as virtuoso solo music for both violin and piano.

Retirement dinner: A retirement dinner for Seekonk animal control officer Jan Bowden will be held Dec. 5 at Johnson & Wales Inn, 213 Taunton Ave. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets which are $30 each, are available at in the Town Clerk’s office, 100 Peck St., or through Save a Pet members. Opportunities for senior citizens: Citizens for Citizens has several vacancies in its Senior Community Service Employment Program. The program, funded under Title V of the Older Americans Act, serves persons with low income who are 55 and up and have poor employment prospects. The program’s objective is to provide, foster and promote part-time work opportunities in community service for unemployed low-income individuals who are 55 years of age and older.
