Golf tournament: The St. Anne’s Hospital 26th anniversary golf tournament will be held Monday at Fall River Country Club, 4232 North Main St., in Fall River.
Individual golf packages are $225 per person and include 18 holes of golf, lunch, golf cart, bag services, commemorative gift, cocktail reception and awards dinner, and opportunities for individual and team awards and contests. Proceeds will benefit the Compassionate Care Fund of St. Anne’s Hospital.

Third lecture in series: The Center for Portuguese Studies and Culture at UMass Dartmouth will hold the third lecture in its Portuguese Cultural Series today at 11:30 a.m., in the Browsing Area of the Claire T. Carney Library. The lecture, titled “Lusophone Identity in the U.S. and the Role of Institutions,” will be given by Prof. M. Gloria de Sá. At the Lloyd Center: The Lloyd Center is offering its “Crabby Crustaceans” program to participants in its Young Naturalist sessions and “I Can Paddle, Canoe” to children in grades 6 though 8 in its Coastal Studies program.
“Crabby Crustaceans,” for ages 5 through 7, will be held at Lloyd Center, 430 Potomska Rd., in Dartmouth, Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Fees are $45 for members; $54 for nonmembers. Registration is required.
“I Can Paddle, Canoe” will be held at the center, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Southcoast Hospitals group: Ostomy Support Group, a support group for people with ostomies, their family and friends, meets the first Wednesday of the month from 2 to 3 p.m. in Charlton Memorial Hospital’s Mooney Room, 363 Highland Ave., in Fall River. At the library: Ronald McDonald will promote summer reading by performing in the “Ronald McDonald Magical Reading Tour,” Friday, at 11 a.m. in the Municipal Veterans’ Memorial, the former Bank Street Armory, 72 Bank St.

Tennis clinic: District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter, a former tennis professional, will lead two free tennis clinics.
The first will be held Saturday, and the second, Aug. 2, on the new BMC Durfee High School tennis courts. The clinic for children ages 7 and 8 will meet from 8:30 to 9:20 a.m.; the clinic for ages 9 and 10 will meet from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m.; and the clinic for ages 11 and 12 will meet from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m.
The clinics are free. Racquets, balls and water will be provided for all. Registration forms for the clinics can be picked up and filled out at the District Attorney’s Fall River office, 38 Rock St.; The District Attorney’s New Bedford office, 888 Purchase St.; the Fall River CD Recreation office/Bank Street Armory, 72 Bank St. or the Fall River Boys and Girls Club, 803 Bedford St. Parents with any questions or concerns can contact volunteer coordinator Brian Rose at 997-0711, ext. 422.
Party on Fall River: CD REC will hold a block party today from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., weather permitting, in Griffin Park.
The event will include carnival games, a 61-foot obstacle course, pony rides, face painting, and arts and crafts. DJ Joshua Berube will provide the music.
Other agencies as well as city departments taking part in the event include: the City’s Youth Services; Family Services; Big Friends, Little Friends; the District Attorney’s Office, Community Affairs Unit; Fall River Police Department; and SouthBay Early Intervention.

Musical performance: Selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar will be performed at St. Luke’s Church, 315 Warren St., Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and $4 for children ages 7 to 12.
Rehoboth
Tractor pulls: Tractor pulls, sponsored by the New England Antique Tractor and Truck Association, will be held at Francis Farm, 27 Francis Farm Rd., Sunday and Aug. 31. The event starts at 9 a.m.
Those who are interested in pulling, should call Don Leffort at 889-7798 or Greg Abrams at 252-4809 for information on fees, insurance and memberships. The event now has a Youth Class for garden tractors. Participating youth need to pass a certification test ahead of time in order to pull.
Motorcycles for Autism: Motorcycle enthusiasts will ride in the third annual Puzzle Ride for Autism and Classic Car Show Sunday at Francis Farm, 151 County St.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the ride starts at 12:30 p.m., followed by a buffet, raffle and live music. The Puzzle Riders will raise money for Autism Project of Rhode Island programs that are designed specifically for children with this disorder.

Eat Cheap night: Newman YMCA, 472 Taunton Ave., is hosting its third monthly Eat Cheap Y Family Night tonight from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The family meal will be followed by healthy activities including an open gym, Pool Palooza, and a family Zumba class. Food for the evening will be provided by Vino’s Family Café, in Rehoboth.
The cost is $3 for YMCA members and $6 for nonmembers.
Somerset
Somerset Recreation Department: The Somerset Recreation Department is offering various weeklong clinics throughout the summer. The baseball clinic is for children and youths ages 6 to 16 and will be held Monday through Aug. 1 at South Little League Complex, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The fee for the clinic is $65. Participants are to bring their glove and bat, if they have one, and a water bottle.

Swansea
Office hours: Rep. Steve D’Amico will hold office hours Monday at Dunkin’ Donuts, 2368 GAR Highway, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
There will be no regularly scheduled office hours in August and September in Seekonk, Rehoboth, or Swansea. Those who would like to meet with Representative D’Amico are encouraged to call for an appointment.
