Flea market: The Congregational Christian Church of Somerset will hold its sixth annual flea market Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include face painting, light lunches, desserts and soda, household items, books, records, puzzles, toys, holiday décor, light furniture, white elephant items and arts and crafts.
Rental spaces for vendors are available for $15. For more information or to reserve a space, call 679-8968.
Spaghetti supper: The Congregational Christian Church, 1411 County St., hold a “Spaghetti Supper by Bob” of Wilkie’s, Saturday at 6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased by calling the church office at 672-6623.
Take me out to the ball game: Somerset Recreation is hosting a trip to Saturday’s Pawsox game. The bus will leave Somerset Town Hall at 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person. For tickets, call 646-2808.
River Run Race: The Westport River Watershed Alliance and Osprey Sea Kayak Adventures will host the fourth annual River Run Race Saturday, rain or shine. Those competing will be able to participate in either a family fun course or a competitive paddle, beginning at Hix Bridge and finishing at the Head of Westport.
Kayak rentals are available on race day at a discounted price from Osprey Kayak. Transportation of kayak to race start is included. Competitors must arrange for a boat. Call 636-0300 to reserve a boat.
Those who would like to volunteer for the race should call Westport River Watershed Alliance, 636-3016. Entry fees are: Advance registration, Westport River Watershed Alliance members: single, $20; double, $30; advance registration, nonmembers: single, $25; double, $35. Members who register race day: single, $25; double, $35; nonmembers who register race day: single, $30; double, $40.
