TODAY

FOXWOODS TRIP: The Seekonk Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring a trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino. All money raised will benefit athletic programs at Seekonk High School.

The $25 cost includes transportation, buffet and a $15 keno ticket.

The bus will leave the high school on Arcade Avenue at 6 p.m. and leaves Foxwoods at midnight for the return trip.

TODAY AND TOMORROWSUPERSTAR PERFORMANCE: The Seekonk Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 600 Fall River Ave., will present its interpretation of Jesus Christ Superstar at 7:30 p.m. tonight and tomorrow night in the church sanctuary.

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for seniors and youth.

ALL WEEKENDMUSICAL PERFORMANCE: The Laurel Tree Players of Holy Family Holy Name School, 91 Summer St., New Bedford, will perform Sing On, at 8 p.m. today and tomorrow, and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Sing On is a comedy about a disaster-prone acting troupe putting on a musical.

TOMORROWWORLD TROPHY VISIT: The Red Sox 2004 World Series Trophy will be at the following area locations:

8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Case Junior High School, Swansea.

10 to 11:30 a.m. Somerset High School, Grandview Avenue.

Noon to 2 p.m. Durfee High School Gymnasium, 360 Elsbree St., Fall River..

CHOWDER AND CLAMCAKES: The St. Louis de France Church, 58 Buffington St., Swansea will hold a chowder and clamcake supper fundraiser at 5 p.m. in the church hall.

The menu will include red and white clam chowder, clamcakes, corn bread, dessert and coffee.

PLANT PROPAGATION: The Lloyd Center for Environment Studies will offer a program on plant propagation for the home gardener from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Southworth Library, 732 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. The cost is $5 for members and $7 for others. Registration is not required.

Rick Peckham of Peckham Nurseries will discuss reproducing plants from parent stock, including the different techniques, supplies needed and plant varieties that are most successfully propagated.

TACK SALE: The Bristol County Horsemen's Association will hold an Equipment and Tack Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Palmer River School, Route 44.

Refreshments will be available.

EGG HUNT: The Somerset Recreation Department will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at Buffington Park. The rain/snow date is March 26.

The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.

BOOK SALE: The Friends of the Seekonk Library, Newman Avenue, will hold a children's used book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A large assortment of good quality used children's books will be available.

Children's activities have also been planned.

SINGLES DANCE: Chapter 415 of Parents Without Partners will hold its monthly singles dance and free dance lesson, at the American Legion Hall, Route 123, South Attleboro.

The free lesson will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. and the dance will follow from 8 p.m. to midnight. Proper dress is required.

Admission is $5 for members and $7 for others.

SPAGHETTI SUPPER: The Somerset Baptist Church, 363 High St., will hold a spaghetti and meatball supper at 6 p.m.

The dinner includes dessert. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.

BUILD A BUDDY: In celebration of National Crafts Month Michaels Arts & Crafts Store, 85 Highland Ave., Seekonk, will host a Build A Buddy free family event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants will mold Crayola model magic into a character from the imagination and then add plastic pieces to create a unique friend to take home. Crayola is sponsoring the event.

CAMOUFLAGED EGG HUNT: The Caratunk Wildlife Refuge, 301 Brown Ave., Seekonk, will hold a camouflaged egg hunt at 10 a.m. The rain date is Sunday at 2 p.m.

As 3- to 10-year-olds search for uncolored eggs on the refuge grounds, they will learn the value of camouflage in nature.

The hunt will be divided into three age groups and the child who finds the golden egg in each age group will receive a special nature-related prize.

The cost is $3 for members and $5 for others.

EASTER CANTATA: The Rehoboth Congregational Church will present an Easter Cantata at 1 p.m., at the Rehoboth Council on Aging, 55 Bay State Rd. Music will be provided by the Congregational Church Choir.

GOSPEL CHOIR: The Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Ave., Seekonk, (Route 152), will host the Eastern Nazarene College Gospel Choir at 7 p.m.

LOBSTER RAFFLE: The last Lobster and Meat raffle of the winter will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at Francis Farm, Rehoboth.

All proceeds will benefit eye research through the Rehoboth Lions Club.

Refreshments will be available.

BULLDOG MATCH: The Bulldog Club of New England will hold a sanctioned match at Canine Mastery, 102 Pond St., Seekonk.

Entries will be taken from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and judging will begin at 1.

Lunch, included in the price of admission, will be at noon. Club members are asked to bring desserts.

Admission is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 5 to 12. Children younger than 5 will be admitted free. A dog handling demonstration will also be held before the start of judging.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School, 147 Pond Street, Franklin will hold its 17th annual all you can east pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 8 to 11 a.m.

Breakfast is free for children younger than 2; $3 for children, students and senior citizens and $5 for others.

The event will also feature face painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

THEATRE FUNDRAISER:20The College Student Theatre Group at Bristol Community College will hold a musical fundraiser featuring the piano duo of Shand & Lowenstein at 2 p.m. at the Margaret L. Jackson Arts Center at Bristol Community College, 777 Elsbree St., Fall River.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for students and seniors and may be reserved by calling (508) 730-3204.

Proceeds will benefit the Bristol Community College Student Loan Program.

UPCOMING

CONTRA DANCE: There will be a contra dance at 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Goff Memorial Hall, 124 Bay State Rd., Rehoboth.

All dances will be taught by caller Lisa Greenleaf to the music of Honk the Moose.

EASTER MUSICAL: The Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 4321 North Main St., Fall River, will present an Easter musical, A.D., at 7:30 p.m. March 25, 26, April 1, 2 and 3, and at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 3. Admission is free.

SNOWCRUST POWWOW: The Dighton Intertribal Indian Council will hold its fourth annual Native American Snowcrust Powwow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the Taunton Veterans of Foreign Wars, 80 Ingell St., Taunton. The grand entry will take place at 12:30 p.m.

The event will feature Native American crafters, song, dance and flute playing.

Admission is $2 and $1 for seniors and children 12 and younger.

SEABIRD WALK:20The Lloyd Center for Environment Studies will hold a Seabird Walk from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 26, at Horseneck Beach, Westport.

Participants will learn about seabirds, including piping plovers, with Jamie Bogart, research associate at the Lloyd Center.

The cost is $3 for Lloyd Center members and $5 for others.

SPRING CONCERT: The Prince Henry Society of Fall River will hold its annual spring concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Bristol Community College, 777 Elsbree St.

All proceeds will benefit the organization's scholarship fund.

The event will begin with an ensemble of swing music performed by the Compaq Band, followed by a reception and silent auction.

GULF WAR REMEMBRANCE: There will be a ceremony to remember those who served in the Gulf War/Operation Enduring Freedom at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, on the Deck of the Battleship Massachusetts, Battleship Cove, Fall River. HEALTHY KIDS DAY: The Newman YMCA, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk, will celebrate Healthy Kids Day from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, with the theme "Put Play in Your Day."

Activities will include a Moon Bounce, kids gym, face painting, family quilting, dancing, animals, karate demonstrations and tennis instruction.

FOXWOODS TRIP: The Somerset Recreation Department will host a day trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino on Saturday, April 2.

The bus will leave the Town Hall, 140 Wood St., at 8 a.m. and leave Foxwoods for the return trip at 4 p.m.

The $15 cost includes a $10 meal voucher and three $5 keno vouchers.

ROAD RACE: The 11th annual Officer Thomas Giunta 5K Memorial Road Race will be held at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, April 3, beginning at the Municipal Veterans Building (Bank Street Armory), 72 Bank St., Fall River.

Officer Giunta was a 21-year veteran of the Fall River Police Department when he was shot and killed in the line of duty on Aug. 24, 1994. A memorial scholarship fund has been set up in his name and all proceeds from the race benefit the fund.

SCHOOL AUCTION: St. Joseph School, Fairhaven, will hold an auction at noon Sunday, April 3, at the Century House, Main Street, Acushnet.

PENNY SALE: The Holy Family Holy Name School, 91 Summer St., New Bedford, will hold its annual penny sale at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9. Food will be served all evening.

ARTS IN THE VILLAGE: The next Arts in the Village concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Goff Memorial Hall, Bay State Rd., Rehoboth. There will be a performance by the students of Rhode Island College Prof. John Sumerlin, who are studying woodwind, brass and string instruments. Also featured will be 13-year-old violin prodigy Gregory Cardi, of Scituate, who will perform Gypsy Airs accompanied by Sumerlin on piano. SPRING HIKE: The Caratunk Wildlife Refuge, 301 Brown Ave., Seekonk, will hold a spring hike at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 16.

Participants will hike the trails of the refuge in search of the early signs of spring.

The cost is $5 for adults members and $3 for child members and $7 for other adults and $4 for other children.

ROAD RACE AND WALKATHON: The Seekonk G.E.N. 5K run and 2-mile walkathon will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 17, at Seekonk High School, 261 Arcade Ave. The event will also include a celebrity softball game at 1 p.m.

The celebrity softball game will feature past and current members of the New England Patriots and past members of the Boston Red Sox. Members of the Seekonk Lions will play against the Seekonk police and fire departments.

Proceeds will benefit scholarships in memory of Greg Deverell, Eric Azevedo and Nick Velardo, who drowned in a boating accident on the Seekonk Reservoir. A scholarship will also be given in memory of a Seekonk Lion.

After March 20, applications will be available at the Newman YMCA, the Seekonk Town Hall, Seekonk Library and Seekonk High School.

Registration for the run is $12 until April 9 and $15 after. Registration for walkers is $7 before April 9 and $10 after.

SPRING FLING: The Rehoboth Senior Citizens Club will hold a Spring Fling at noon Thursday, April 21, at Francis Farm, County Street, Rehoboth.
