CONTRA DANCE: There will be a New England contra dance at 8 p.m. at Goff Memorial Hall, Bay State Road, Rehoboth.

An introductory/refresher workshop will take place at 7:30 p.m.

All dances will be taught by caller Lisa Greenleaf to the music of the Free Association with Amy Larkin, Jim Guinness and Debby Knight.

TOMORROW AND SUNDAY CRAFT FAIR:20The Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, 1121 Ashley Blvd., will hold its 17th annual craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday. Free child care will be available.

The fair will feature handcrafted items including holiday wreaths, woodworking, pottery, soaps, jewelry and crocheted items.

Students will operate a concession stand.

A $1 donation for the scholarship fund is requested.

TOMORROW HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS: Several holiday workshops will be offered at 7 Arrows Farm, 346 Oakhill Ave., Seekonk, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Workshops include Handmade Beauty -- Making Lotions Creams, Scrubs and more, Cordials from the Kitchen, a Fashion Feng Shui workshop, and Teas to Calm and Uplift.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: There will be a Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Seekonk Commons, 25 Chappell St.

NATIVE AMERICAN CRAFTS: The Dighton Intertribal Council will hold a Native American Craft demonstration and sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Taunton Elks, 119 High St., Taunton.

HOLIDAY SALE:20The North Attleborough Historical Society will hold a second chance sale and open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Woodcock Garrison House and Little Red Schoolhouse, 362 North Washington St., junction of Routes 1 and 1A.

The event will feature new jewelry items, attic treasures, Christmas decorations, knitted items, children's and adult books and postcards and magnets depicting the former Jolly Cholly's Funland.

SUNDAY

CONCERT CHOIR: The Gregorian Concert Choir from the Cathedral of SS. Peter & Paul, Providence, conducted by the Rev. Anthony Mancini, will perform at 2 p.m. at the Union United Methodist Church, 600 Highland Ave., Fall River.

HOLIDAY HOUSE TOUR: The New Bedford Preservation Society will hold its 13th annual holiday house tour Dec. 4 and 5.

The candlelight tour will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday. The Sunday tour will be held from 1 to 6 p.m.

The Wamsutta Club, 427 County St., will serve as headquarters for both tours.

The Wamsutta Club will also hold a pre-holiday brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. The cost for both the brunch and the tour will be $28. To make reservations, call (508) 997-7431.

Single tour admission is $14 in advance and $16 on the day of the tour with a $3 discount for seniors 59 and older and New Bedford Preservation Society members on advance ticket sales only.

NEW PERFORMANCE: The Little Theatre of Fall River Inc. will present Pinocchio at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday Dec. 3 and 4, and at 2 p.m. Sundays Dec. 5 at the Firebarn, corner of Prospect Street and Highland Avenue.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: The Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Ave., will hold its annual Christmas bazaar and gift festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.

The bazaar will feature decorated fresh green wreaths, hand sewn knit goods, stocking stuffers, candles, ceramics, jewelry, Christmas treasures, crafts, hand-made ornaments, baked goods, candy and fudge.

Breakfast and lunch will be available.

Parking is available in two lots on Fall River Avenue and County Street.

CRAFT FAIR: More than 200 crafters from throughout New England will participate in the 28th annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair that will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4 and 5, at B.M.C. Durfee High School, Elsbree Street, Fall River. The event is sponsored by the Fall River Scholarship Foundation.

Featured exhibitors include Tastefully Simple, Silpasda Jewelry, Creative Memories, Avon, Tupperware, Wildtree Herbs, Home Interiors and Mary Kay Cosmetics.

ARTS IN THE VILLAGE: The Rehoboth Antiquarian Society will present its next performance in its Arts in the Village series with a musical program called The Art of the Cello at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Goff Memorial Hall, 124 Bay State Rd.

The program will feature a recital for cello and piano with cellist Daniel Harp and pianist Nancy Nicholson. The duo will perform music by Lukas Foss, Vivaldi, Debussy and Beethoven.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and students.

HOLIDAY SALE: The Somerset Garden Club will host its annual Holiday Greens Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Old Town Hall, 1458 County St. (Route 138).

The sale will feature handmade arrangements of wreaths, swags, and centerpieces of fresh greenery, crafts and gifts.

INDIA PROGRAM: The UMass Dartmouth Center for Indic Studies will present A Journey through the Diversiland of India at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, in the Library's first floor Browsing Area, Old Westport Road.

The program will feature a slide show on the culture and traditions of India, presentations of Indian dress and Indian food, opportunities to try on clothing and sample foods, music, facts and figures, and a display of art and books.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in Lot 13.

VESPERS: The Wheaton College Chorale and Chamber Singers will present its annual holiday vespers at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at the Cole Memorial Chapel, Route 123, Norton.

For the event, the entire campus will be lit with luminaria. A post concert reception will be held in the Balfour-Hood Atrium.

In addition to familiar carols, the program will feature Bach's Magnificat in D, with orchestral accompaniment. Winter madigrals and Hanukkah songs will also be performed.

The event is free.

HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR: On Stage Theatrical Productions will present its 2004 Holiday Spectacular at 7:30 p.m Saturday, Dec. 4, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, in the Margaret L. Jackson Auditorium at Bristol Community College, 777 Elsbree St., Fall River. Tickets are $12.50 for balcony seats and $14.50 for orchestra seats.

The group will perform song and dance numbers including Santa's Rocking Christmas Count Down, Merry Merry Christmas, After December Slips Away and Who Would Imagine a King along with the traditional March of the Wooden Soldiers, Tap Dancing Dolls and Santa's Dancing Girls.

Students from On Stage ranging from ages 6 to 18 will be among the performers.

TRIM-A-TREE: The staff of Sturdy Pediatric Associations will hold a holiday tree trimming event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 4, at 303 North Main St., Attleboro.

Children who attend will have an opportunity to design an ornament to decorate the tree that will be on display during the holiday season. The morning will also include cookie decorating, crafts and music.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT: The Williams Chorale's annual Christmas concert, Glory Hallelujah, will feature traditional carols and music. The concert will be held at 4 p.m Sunday, Dec. 12, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 647 North Main St., Route 152, Attleboro.

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors. Children 12 and younger are admitted for free.

OPERA CLUB: The South Coast Opera Club will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, in Fellowship Hall; use the Cherry Street door, Fall River.

Soprano Donna Dalphin Silvia and pianist Mona Dumais will perform a program of Christmas Carols.

Refreshments will be served. The event is open to the public for a $5 fee.
