CPR Classes offered at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro

HEARTSAVER CPR: Sturdy Memorial Hospital will host a CPR course designed for lay rescuers; attendees will learn how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies including cardiac arrest and choking for responsive adult, child, and infant victims. The class will be held Feb. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon in Classroom 303. You must be prepared to perform according to current standards. The fee is $45, and includes current learning materials. Pre-registration is required.
ON-LINE CPR: This program is designed for professionals who have recertified with the American Heart Association on-line, and are looking for the skills demonstration portion. The program will be held Feb. 11, by appointment only, in Classroom 303. You must be prepared to perform according to current standards and bring the on-line certification from the American Heart Association to the one hour appointment. The fee is $25, pre-registration is required.
ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS): Participants must show proof of current CPR certification and have basic knowledge of cardiac dysrhythmias. The class will be held Feb. 12 and 13 in the hospital auditorium. The cost for the full and recertification for registered nurses is $165, and $240 for physicians. Fees include course materials, ACLS textbook, Emergency Handbook of Cardiac Care, and refreshments.
