It’s the 3rd annual Rhode Island Festival of Trees
11/30/2006 01:00 AM EST
The third annual Rhode Island Festival of Trees comes to Providence tomorrow through Sunday, filling the Convention Center with more than 100 professionally decorated holiday trees, all for sale. Each tree reflects its designer, and in previous years have included such unusual themes as a salute to the jeweler Tiffany and to The Grinch. Trees that are purchased will be delivered after the Festival closes on Sunday.
Other holiday activities planned for the event include an indoor train for kids to ride on, The Polar Express, and a carousel. There will also be a gift pavilion, musical performances and a children’s area.
Tickets cost $8 for adults, $6 for children under 12. Hours are tomorrow and Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For more information, call (401) 458-6014 or visit www.rifestivaloftrees.com. The Rhode Island Convention Center is at 1 Sabin St., Providence.
