Toxic materials drop-off day
09/04/2008 01:00 AM EDT
Come clean. Dispose of toxic materials responsibly. On Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon, the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation is conducting its Eco-Depot. This is a program that invites residents to turn in hazardous waste products that are banned from the landfill: fluorescent light bulbs, motor oil and filters, propane gas tanks, pesticides, pain thinners, lawn fertilizers and weed killers. People are asked to make appointments for drop-offs. Call (401) 942-1430 ext. 241, or visit www.rirrc.org.
