Ken Burns at Old Sturbridge
Award-winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns will be honored at a fundraising dinner at Old Sturbridge Village’s Oliver Wight Tavern at 6 p.m. He is expected to speak about his current project, a look at National Parks, and will answer questions in a Q&A session. (Burns was a college intern there and made his first film about the historic village.) Tickets are $125; call (508) 347-0207 to reserve. (Organizer Megan Panek says some tickets should be available today.) The Wight Tavern is at the entrance to the historic village, which is on Route 20 in Sturbridge, Mass. From Providence, take Route 146 to Route 90 West to Exit 9, then Route 84 West to Exit 3B.
