08/27/2008 05:30 PM EDT
•Sure, you’re going for the music and the dancing, but don’t forget the food. The festival offers Cajun and Creole specialties, Greek and Middle Eastern dishes, Thai cuisine and more.
•Other ways to spend your money: Roots music CDs and DVDs; dance wear; crafts; and all sorts of festival souvenirs.
•Camper alert: Ninigret Park will open for campers to line up at sunrise on Friday (you must have a camping ticket, offered as part of the admission package). The festival camping area will open at 9 a.m. There is no parking along the road outside the park.
•For tickets — prices range from $30 for Friday only to $160 for a full-festival camping ticket — and more information, go to www.rhythmandroots.com.
